Claude and other AI assistants
Connect Claude to Triconvey and ask it about your files in plain English — which completions are coming up, what is outstanding on the Smith purchase, who signs for a company. It reads your files directly, so you are not copying anything into a chat window.
Connect
- 1In Claude, add a connector and give it the Triconvey MCP address:
https://api.triconvey.ca/mcp - 2Claude opens a Triconvey page in your browser. Sign in if you are not already.
- 3Choose which firm to connect, then approve. You are returned to Claude, and the connection is live.
One firm per connection
If you work for more than one firm, the approval screen asks which one. A connection covers that firm only. To reach a second firm, connect again and choose it — you end up with two connections, and removing one leaves the other working.
This is deliberate. It means an answer is never quietly drawn from the wrong firm's files.
It sees what you see
The connection acts as you. Every request runs through the same permission checks as the web app, so Claude can reach exactly the files and fields your role allows — no more. Two people at the same firm can connect Claude and get different answers, and that is correct.
- Remove someone from the firm and their connection stops working immediately, not whenever it happens to expire.
- Change their role and the connection follows, on the next question they ask.
What it can and cannot do
Most of what Claude can do is read: list and search your files, open one and see its dates, property, parties and statement of adjustments, look through tasks across the whole firm, and search the contact book.
Three things it can create, and only create — a contact, a task on a file, and a file matter. It will ask you before doing any of them.
- It cannot change or delete anything. There is no edit, no delete. A mistake means a record to remove by hand, never a record overwritten.
- It cannot reach LTSA. No title searches, no Web Filing, no transparency declarations. Those stay in Triconvey, where you can see what a search will cost before ordering it.
- It cannot see billing, team or permission settings, or change any of them.
- Opening a file matter draws on your credit balance, the same as creating one in Triconvey. It is the only thing Claude does that costs anything.
Disconnect
Remove the connector in Claude and its access ends. Nothing in Triconvey is affected — contacts, tasks and files created through Claude are ordinary records and stay exactly as they are.
